When People Try To Control You
Good morning beautiful people! Hope this week has favored you in more ways than none. I have a feeling this weekend is going to be a glorious one for all of us.
Now let's jump right into it. The idea of you can't please everyone is probably the realest statement I've ever heard. In everything you do, people will always try to tell you how to do it. Be it how to eat, how to walk, how to talk, and even how to pray. Everyone feels their way is the best way. I try to keep my blog as controversy free as possible, but of course you can't be 100% spotless all the time. I love to share trending things on my social media platforms such as articles on police brutality, and this week's trending one on Nigerian Twitter of a certain Taiwo who took his 3year fiancé on a maga spree. Of course people will always tell me that I shouldn't be so open with my oppinion partaining to certain issues, and that I should just learn to see things and ignore them. But for me I think that's just ridiculous. Everyone chooses how they want to live there life, and everyone chooses how they want to leave an impact in the world. When it comes to minding my business, I'm pretty good at that. I don't jump in on people's conversations or try to make myself part of scenarios that do not concern me. But as for sharing my oppinion on my platform, I feel as a member of this society and one who loves to write, it's my entitlement and no one can tell me how to write my articles or what to feel about certain situations. I mean hey, that's what got people like Linda Ikeji a house, excuse me I mean a castle in Banana Island. Not saying I'm a Linda Ikeji, but I sure would love to be half of that some day.
Do you ever feel like your tongue is being held back or a person is trying to control the way you do things? We all do, and we have our ways of dealing with it. How do you deal with it?

It Looks Like People Might Start Going To Jail For Body Shamming.
Body shaming, such a despicable act and definitely something to tackle here. TMZ reported how A former Playboy Playmate of the Year could face jail time after she body shamed another woman who was changing in a gym locker room.
In July, Dani Mathers Snapchatted a photo of herself looking horrified next to a naked woman at an L.A. Fitness with the caption, “If I can’t unsee this, then you can’t either" (how disgusting). People immediately called Dani out for her mean-girl move, and she was fired from her job as a radio host. She was also banned from all L.A. Fitness gyms.
According to People, Dani later posted an apology video on Snapchat. "That was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do," she said. "I know that body shaming is wrong. That is not the type of person I am."

Here is The Reason You are Asked To Open Up Your Window During Takeoffand Landing.
This is something i've always wondered about, but thanks to an article I came across from indiatimes I no longer have the big question mark on my head when the flight attendant wakes me up during landing to open my window.
Lifting the shades on the windows during take-off and landing might seem like a trivial ask to many airplane passengers. Some travellers believe that this to prepare them for the jolty landing moment when the wheels hit the concrete below.
But experts have now revealed the reasons why it is much more important to passenger safety than you would think.

Female Breadwinner: Nigerian Men So Threatened By A successful Wife?
I want to start this off with two stories.
Story One
Story One
I have a cousin who graduated from medical school, moved out of her parent's house and bought her own house when she started practicing. All of my aunties were upset about it. They kept repeating things like "why would you move out of your parents house?", "what man will marry you after this", "don't you know you are scaring away potential husbands, men don't like the idea of a very independent woman!", and so on. Needless to say, they were right about that. She's in her great 30s now, and unmarried. I recently ran into her, and she couldn't stop speaking on the fact that no man has proposed to marry her yet. She said how all the men she runs into are either gold diggers looking for a come up, or not wanting to settle down with her because she is "too successful".
Story two.
My aunty and uncle have been married for 20 plus years. My aunty is the breadwinner of the house.

How Nigerian Do You Think I Am?
This is a question which always comes with interesting answers and assumptions. As you all know I live in the USA, but exactly how Nigerian am I? Was I born in Nigeria? DO I speak my language? DO I know what town I am from? Can I name some Nigerian dishes besides Jollof rice? Most people are shocked when they hear the answers to those questions. Watch my video of me answering some of these daunting questions!

Too Many Orgasms??!!!!
Yes you heard me! Apparently there is such a thing as too many orgasms. I was watching a little documentary on T.V. called "100 orgasms a day"(don't judge me). It was about women that get aroused by just about anything and everyhing. I find that just incredible knowing that most women have serious issues getting aroused and having orgasms. These women describe there condition as "unbearable", and get this, even an orgasm sometimes can not relieve it! YIKES. The name of this condition is called Persistent Sexual Arousal Disorder (PSAD).
Racheal a mom and wife who suffers from this disorder says she gets turned on from vibrations like the one coming from the washing machine.
Everyday is a struggle for her, she dreads doing the laundry because of this. Not to be funny but how crazy for a man would it be to have a wife that's always ready. Heck all he has to do is get her to do the laundry and it's on and popping for the day.

My Thoughts on This Photo.
This photo has been floating around for a while now. The photo features the wife of the Akwa Ibom state speaker kneeling down to thank her husband during her PhD ceremony. A lot of people have had loads of things to say about it. Some condemning her actions and calling her backward, while others praising her and calling her a "virtuous" woman. I've read so many social media comments and heated debates that have even lead to insults flying, and this is my take.

Is a Housewife A Liability??
I ran across this on Facebook and thought it was really different. My own take here is that I believe modern times have made women stronger, as a result we like to get our hands dirty as well, and I think that's completely fine if she wants to. I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a bit traditional and would actually not mind having a man take care of the finances, while I take full control of the homefront and keep him as comfortable as possible. Of course I don't expect to ever meet a guy that reasons like that today because nowadays settling down seems to be more about joining finances than raising a family (I weep); and nowadays if a guy doesn't see you to have a strong career or plan he looks at you as a

This is For My Male Readers... How Do You Like Her Hair?
So I read an article on Bellanaija (Click to read the article) written by a young man, I should probably say a young boy because he was only 21 years old, but all the same his oppinion is valued too. In the article he harshly condemed women that choose to wear long hair extensions, and went as far as ordering us to cease and desist from the practice (uuuh...) He spoke of a time when he was chilling at Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, and spotted a pretty lady with a very long weave. Long story short he instantly assumed she was a runz girl ( a prostitute), and approached her to inquire. According to our young writer Men prefer their ladies to wear short simple extensions and that long luscious extensions are simply a turn off. I for one must say I was shocked to hear that, because I love long extensions and I would hate to know that i'm a turn off.
So I turn the question to my guys. Is there any truth in what he said? if so please explain clearly from a male's view why you agree with him, and if not, please explain to us why you think his view is bogus and how you like your girl's hair. (Picture options after the cut)!

Happy Sunday Readers!
I just got back from Church this morning and I'm crying that the weekend is almost over!!! Nooo! It seems to just come in and go out without a warning, leaving all of us wishing it could hang around just a little longer. Since Sunday is already here, let's spend it effectively because "A Sunday well spent, is a week of content".
Speaking of content, I'm still very open for ideas on more blog content, I feel like I've touched almost everything here from, school, relationships, hair, marriage, and even some sex! (Ohlala). So as always shoot your emails with ideas, and "dear Lady G" questions.

Good Morning it's Saturday!
Good morning blog family! It's Saturday morning and the weekend is officially in motion. I hope none of you are like me, because I have nothing planned to do so far this weekend, but hopefully I will get that phone call that will change my life. Wish you all a safe and sound weekend. I seem to be running out of blog content to post about (covers face with shame). Feels like I've covered everything here. To help me out and keep the party going here, please leave any suggestion in the connect section of what you would like me to talk about. Also you can email your "Dear Lady G" to gabyanastasis@gmail.com. I've been considering taking on video vlogs lately. I've actually started ordering equipment for that, but I'm kind of not sure how to start lol. I'm afraid my voice is not captivating enough. We'll see where this takes us though. For now let's keep working on the blog we have right in front of us.
Love you all, be happy and be safe this weekend!!
And remember, calories don't count on the weekend *wink*
XOXO

Who Do You Love More, Your Mom or your Dad?
It has been calculated that Americans spend $61billion on Mother's Day gifts, and only $12billion on Father's Day, I sure wonder why. In honour of Mother's day, the crew from Jimmy Kimmel went out into the streets and surveyed little kids by asking them who they lovedore. The answers are shocking!
